Building on the momentum from New York, London Fashion Week offered audiences a bright, fresh, and dramatic approach to beauty. As the season unfolded across the pond, we noticed bursts of color—on the cheeks and lips—touches of embellishment, sculpted fringe, among other ideas that made their way down the runway. These five of our favorite hair and makeup trends from London Fashion Week are destined to make the jump from runway to real world.

This season saw tactful bursts of color—and we’re not just talking about the clothes. From saturated hues to a natural flush, models with a hint of rouge on their cheeks were all over the runways at London Fashion Week. While Eudon Choi chose to apply the blush directly onto the apples of the cheeks, Yuhan Wang and Paolo Carzana opted to work the formula up toward the ear, adding a flush of color in one fell swoop.

The bleached brow trend isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. At Richard Quinn, Yuhan Wang, and Talia Byre, makeup artists paired bleached brows with neutral complexions, adding a gothic, futuristic effect to the overall makeup look.

For a slightly undetectable glow that imparts a dewy effect on the skin, highlight the inner corner of your eye. You can go in with a regular highlighter and tap the formula onto your skin, or you can opt for a bright silver eyeshadow, similar to the shades seen in the KNWLS and Aaron Esh collections.
Imperfect Fringe

At Holzweiler, the bangs were styled according to that model’s specific hair texture while at Molly Goddard, models sported a simple, blunt fringe. At Yuhan Wang, there was a stunning assortment of bangs in the mix which ranged from a more intricate, molded style to light wisps.

At Burberry, Daniel Lee got playful with pigment, opting for a striking black hue on lips, while at Talia Byre, pouts were saturated in a deep blue with touches of shine to add depth.
