
A motorcyclist has died after colliding with a car in Auburn Friday night. Police say they were called to the intersection of South Main Street and Witham Road at around 5:30 p.m. Friday. Early investigations show that a Volkswagon Beetle collided with the Kawasaki motorcycle while trying to pull onto South Main from Witham Road, according to Auburn police. Witnesses reportedly tried to give CPR to the motorcyclist, who has not been identified pending notification of the family, but they did not survive. Officials say those inside the Volkswagon received minor injuries. As of roughly 6:10 p.m., officials the nearly one-mile stretch of road between Vickery and South Witham roads closed to allow first responders to work. Auburn police continue to investigate the incident.
