Buttigieg: Midwest set to lead climate action with EVs, technology


Pete Buttigieg said the industrial Midwest is poised to be a major part of the United States’ climate solutions.

Buttigieg, national Secretary of Transportation and northern Michigan resident, spoke Nov. 28 to members of the Council on Foreign Relations about efforts to improve U.S. infrastructure and other issues. He said prior attitudes opposed to climate action within the American Rust Belt are finally shifting.
