The Butts County School System held a ribbon-cutting for the new $14.9 million Butts County Performing Arts Center on Thursday, Nov. 16 at 6 p.m. The building officially hosted its first performance presented by the Jackson High School Concert Band and Symphonic Band at 7 p.m.
The center, which was funded through Education Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (ESPLOST), was constructed in 13 months.
