Call the Midwife stars Helen George and Olly Rix intimately celebrated her most recent theatrical performance, fueling romance suspicions.

The costars were caught off surprise during the after-party for Helen’s stage adaption of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s musical The King and I in London.

According to onlookers, the couple was seen canoodling during the party, where they sat close to each other, Olly’s hands wrapped around her waist.

This comes after the 39-year-old actress decided to split up with partner Jack Ashton, 40, who also appeared on the BBC show. They have two children together.

Meanwhile, Olly split up with his make-up artist girlfriend after seven years of dating.

The couple is alleged to have spent the entire evening together, hugging and making out several times.

According to a source who spoke with The Sun exclusively, Helen made a beeline for Olly as soon as she arrived at the afterparty. The two spent the entire evening together, with Olly resting his hand on her back while she chatted with her fellow cast members.”

According to the insider, they were close because Olly appeared “protective” of her and loved to sit together.

“At one point, two people switched seats on a sofa so Olly and Helen could sit next to each other. He was clearly very protective of Helen as he put his hand around the back of her chair. Helen wanted to stay out with her girls so Olly hugged her and gave her a kiss on the cheek before he left.”

The two will soon wave farewell to the show, making their final appearance. Both characters will be written off of the programme following the 2023 season finale.
