Cambridge Performing Arts Center presents ‘A Christmas Story’ this weekend and next

CAMBRIDGE − the beloved classic “A Christmas Story” is coming to the Cambridge Performing Arts Center. The play will be presented Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with additional performances Dec. 8 to 10.

The show is brought to life on the stage by more than 20 cast members of all ages. Perfectly capturing the wonderous spirit of the movie’s main character Ralphie is John Glenn student Sean Clinard. Joining Clinard on stage is Stephen Wolverton, portraying the role of Ralph as the narrator, Alex Mullen as Ralphie and Randy’s dad, lovingly referred to as The Old Man, and Shannon Eubanks as the mother. The cast is comprised of local talent of all ages.

Attendees will be delighted as they watch the Bumpus hounds give chase to The Old Man, and will see the magic that is the “…unparalleled glory” of the leg lamp. It might just remind you of the Fourth of July, as they say in the film.

You can catch the play at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 3 p.m. on Sundays. Tickets are $12 for all seats and are available online or at the door. For more information, visit CambridgeTheater.org.
