Camden Kroc Center and Holman partner to combat food insecurity in the community

Camden, NJ – Food insecurity has reached a dangerous high, with 1 in 12 families struggling to afford or gain access to nutritious food.

The Salvation Army Camden Kroc Center and Holman, an automotive company, got together ahead of Memorial Day to try and fight this food insecurity in the community.

Holman volunteers set up a huge array of healthy foods in the Kroc Center to distribute to over 300 families.

Families could choose from bread, produce, meats, dairy, and non-perishable goods.

The event also unveiled a donation from Holman: a new box truck to help expand the center’s resources.

With volunteerism and the help of this truck, the Kroc Center hopes to better serve the more than 10,000 residents around Camden County that they assist annually.
