Can I Tell You a Secret? is not a work of fiction, but rather the true story of Matthew Hardy, a cyberstalker who has terrorised numerous women over the years.

The two-part documentary centers on three young women whom Hardy targeted: Abby, Zoe, and Lia.

They began receiving messages from Hardy, who was hiding under a female identity.

He would frequently entice their attention by saying, ‘Can I tell you a secret?’, hence the series title.

However, after a few discussions, Lia and others became suspicious, prompting an inquiry of the sender’s profile and a decision to avoid interaction.

That’s when the harassment began, with phony profiles and graphic content circulated among women’s friends, family, and partners.

The first half of season one will depict the horrors of cyberstalking, while part two will have an elaborate tapestry of suspense, intriguing characters, and enough twists to keep you on the edge of your seat until the finish.
