Canopy welcomes first Chinese-owned brands


VANCOUVER – Environmental nonprofit Canopy has announced that three Chinese fashion groups have become the first from the region to join its CanopyStyle and Pack4Good supply chain initiatives.

The Ellassay Group, which owns owns Chinese brand Ellassay, German womenswear brand Laurèl, French designer brand IRO Paris, and American street fashion brand Ed Hardy, will join sports apparel label Engine Bird and sock company, Happywool, in working to keep climate and biodiversity-critical forests out of their viscose and paper packaging supply chains.
