Car runs through stop sign, crashes into school bus in Franklin


FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Franklin Police Department is investigating a crash involving a school bus and another vehicle on Monday morning.

According to FPD, a bus belonging to the Franklin Special School District was hit by a Volvo sedan at the intersection of Fourth Avenue North and Bridge Street. A photo from the scene shows the Volvo was traveling on Fourth Avenue when it crashed into the school bus coming from Bridge Street.

Franklin PD reported the Volvo likely drove through the stop sign.

Three people were aboard the bus at the time, and no one reported any injuries. The driver of the Volvo suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
