Car, several motorcycles destroyed when heat lamp catches garage/chicken coop on fire


A car and several motorcycles were destroyed when a detached garage/chicken coop caught on fire.

The fire at 8300 W. McCormick Road started before 11:45 a.m. Sunday.

The Randall County Fire Department and Amarillo Fire Department both responded.

The garage/chicken coop was a total loss. But no chickens were injured or killed.

The Randall County Fire Department said the cause is believed to be a heat lamp.
