Cardi B got in trouble with the law when she threw a microphone into the crowd during a show in Las Vegas. Now, the cops have given her a clean bill of health.
After consulting with the Clark County District Attorney’s office and thoroughly reviewing the case, the Las Vegas police department decided to drop all charges against the rapper because there was “insufficient evidence.”
In a statement, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said, “After a thorough review of this case and with the consultation from the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, this case has been closed as having insufficient evidence. No charges will be filed in relation to this case.”
On July 29 in Las Vegas, someone in the crowd threw a drink at Cardi while she was on stage singing. The American rapper, who is 30 years old, threw the mic in anger.
According to NBC News, the event hurt a woman, who then filed a lawsuit against the I Like It singer.
Representatives for Cardi, who is 30, released a statement saying, “On behalf of Cardi, we appreciate the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s diligent and prompt resolution of this matter.”
In recent years, many celebs have talked about things that happened on stage. For example, someone in the crowd hurt Bebe Rexha during a show in June when they threw their phone at her.
During Pink’s show, one of the people there threw a bag of ashes at her, which was also a problem.
