Casey Glenn Hansen, 31, of Warren PA, passed away on November 24, 2023 at home. He was born on June 30, 1992 in Warren to Curtis Hansen and Lori (Pyle) Montgomery, who survive him.
Casey graduated from Youngsville High School in 2010, he also attended the career center. Growing up he played baseball, football and in high school, shot trap. He also enjoyed video games and tinkering with electronics and cars (he always wanted to figure out how things worked). Some of his best times were going to fishing camp with his dad and Grandpa Hansen, spending Sundays with family watching NASCAR and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Casey was raised with many cousins and being the youngest, for quite awhile, he was the center of attention and a little spoiled.
In 2015 Casey moved to Mississippi and worked for Caterpillar Recon. After a few years, he moved back to PA and worked at FurHaven and a few other local factories.
Along with his parents, he is survived by his stepmother, Joni Hansen of Sugar Grove; his stepfather, Doug Montgomery of Alabama; his grandparents, Jerry and Linda Pyle of Youngsville and Sandra Hansen of Pleasant Township; his uncles, Doug (Janet) Hansen of Russell, Paul Hansen of Sugar Grove and Mike Pyle of Corry; his aunts, Debra (Justin) Becklund of Scandia, Brenda (Eddie) Grunden of Youngsville, Amanda (Steve) Markham of Alabama and Michelle (Omar) Milan of Texas; his stepbrother, Colton (Gabrielle) Parker of Sugar Grove; his stepsister, Whitney (Brad) Adams of Frewsburg; his niece and nephews, Kayden, Copelan and Ranger Parker of Sugar Grove and many great aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Hansen and an uncle, William Pyle.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 30 at the Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 314 N. Main St, Youngsville, PA 16371, from 4-6pm at which time a service will be held there.
Casey had a great love for animals, especially his dogs, Sadie and Snow. They were ecstatic after not seeing him these last two months and we are sure they will continue to miss him for a long time to come, as will his family. Casey’s passing will leave a hole in our hearts that will never heal.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Casey’s memory to your local animal shelter or Empire Animal Rescue Society (EARS) PO Box, 445, Salamanca, NY 14779 or to your local NA (narcotics anonymous).
