Cat rescued from spare car wheel in Cowlitz County


COWLITZ COUNTY Wash. (KPTV) – Firefighters rescued a cat that was stuck in a car wheel on Monday, according to Cowlitz 2 Fire & Rescue.

The cat’s owner reported that ‘Blue’ got his head stuck in the center of a spare wheel on the owner’s property, surmising that the pet “must have been chasing a mouse or something.”

A neighbor who works as a veterinarian administered anti-anxiety and calming medications to the feline before firefighters carefully cut the cat free using the Jaws of Life other tools. The process took nearly 45 minutes to complete.

Cowlitz 2 Fire & Rescue relayed that Blue is expected to make a full recovery.
