SAN ANTONIO – Andrea Guerrero posted the lone win for Abilene Christian in a 6-1 setback at UTSA in ACU’s spring opener on Friday.
Guerrero defeated Cassie McLay in straight sets, 6-4, 7-5, in No. 5 singles.
Maryjoe Crisologo at No. 3 singles and Libby Blair at No. 6 forced three sets but came up short.
ACU returns to the courts tomorrow, facing 10th-ranked Texas A&M at 4:30 p.m. in College Station.
