Cats sweep Auburn in comeback fashion


AUBURN, Ala. (WKYT) – Kentucky spotted Auburn seven runs to open their matchup on Saturday, before exploding for 13 unanswered runs in the final five innings to claim its third consecutive SEC sweep.

UK (30-5, 14-1) now has won a school-record 10 straight conference games.

James McCoy blasted a three-run home run and Devin Burkes cleared the bases with a three-run double to tie the game in the sixth.

Nick Lopez belted a two-run bomb to give the Cats a lead later in the same inning.

UK plays at Louisville on Tuesday. First pitch is set for 7 p.m.
