Cebu set to welcome Mister International 2024 competition

MANILA, Philippines — Cebu will be hosting this year’s Mister International on November 3 to 10.

Dubbed the “Gateway to a Thousand Journeys,” Cebu is set to welcome contestants and national directors from around the world as it hosts the prestigious global event.

In the teaser video posted on Instagram, Mister International shows stunning landscapes, exquisite cuisine and the warm hospitality of its people.

“Here is a teaser of Cebu, Philippines – the host of #MisterInternational2024 from 3-10 November. Be amazed!” it wrote.

Last March 20, Mister International’s leadership, including its owner Manuel Deldio, engaged in a productive meeting with the Cebu City Tourism Commission, led by Chief Operating Officer Doc. Neil Odchigue. The gathering was further graced by the presence of esteemed fashion designer, pageant chairman and director Lemuel Rosos.

In the spirit of the event, Deldio highlighted the unique opportunity for contestants to forge lasting friendships and express gratitude towards the welcoming arms of Cebu. He praised the local officials and Lemuel Rosos for their invaluable support in bringing this international spectacle to life.

The competition week is packed with engaging activities ranging from picturesque photoshoots and cultural tours to community engagement initiatives and media appearances, culminating in the eagerly anticipated preliminary competition.

“This year promises a renaissance of sorts, spotlighting men who not only draw people in but who also celebrate their cultural heritage, embrace their individuality, and foster a spirit of community engagement,” Deldio and Rosos said.

Selection criteria for winners hinge on important aspects, with Deldio emphasizing the importance of leadership and example-setting for future generations. “It’s about the allure of confidence and the ability to inspire—a true star captivates and leads the next generation by example,” he said.

Reflecting on the impactful reign of the previous winner, José Antonio Calle from Spain, and his upcoming philanthropic mission in the Philippines, Deldio and Rosos envision this year’s Mister International as a “Year of Elevation.” This concept elevates the competition beyond mere contest to a platform for fostering global unity and societal impact.

Mister International is thus redefining the essence of male pageantry, positioning it as a celebration of aesthetic grace and a powerful vehicle for positive social change and community engagement.
