LAAC: Fall Arts & Crafts Fair
9 am – 3 pm, Central Park Square
The Los Alamos Arts Council will host 50+ artisans on Oct. 5 for our annual fall craft fair. This event is free to the public and always a fun way to kick off the holiday shopping season.

Mural Ribbon Cutting & Celebration
11 am, 157 Central Park Square (Walk Way)
Los Alamos MainStreet & Creative District will be celebrating the newly completed mural by artist Andrew Fearnside with refreshments and a ribbon cutting.

​Full-Dome Photography Showcase
2 pm, Los Alamos Nature Center Planetarium
Step into the planetarium for a captivating photo showcase, where stunning images of landscapes and nature surround you in a 360-degree experience. This exhibit highlights the creative work of talented local photographers. $8/adult, $6/child. Register in advance

After Hours at the Library: Music Lounge & Life Drawing
5 – 7 pm, Mesa Public Library
For the third year in a row, the library offers a special music themed life drawing event in the lower rotunda at the Mesa Public Library after hours. All ages and abilities are welcome.

Los Alamos Youth Film Festival 
6 – 8 pm, SALA
Screening of films made by LAHS students through programming by the YMCA Los Alamos Teen Center, PAC8, and the Los Alamos Arts Council. Admission is free and open to all ages.

LAAC Presents: Janet Montoya & Gloria Sharp Gallery Opening
5 – 7 pm, Fuller Lodge Art Center
Local artists Janet Montoya and Gloria Sharp will have a show in the Fuller Lodge Art Center Portal Gallery from October 4th-October 25th. The opening will be October 4th from 5-7 PM with light refreshments served.

Raptor Live Drawing Workshop
1 – 3 pm, Los Alamos Nature Center
Join us for a unique opportunity to observe and sketch birds of prey up close, guided by experts from the Land of Enchantment Wildlife Foundation who will handle the birds and answer your questions, offering a deeper connection to these magnificent creatures. Samizdat & LAAC Present: “The Sound of A Thousand Stars” Book Release
5 pm, Fuller Lodge
Author Rachel Robbins will be presenting her debut novel, “The Sound of a Thousand Stars.” Published by Penguin Random House, the book is a fictional account of two Jewish physicists working on the Manhattan Project, and is inspired by the experiences of Robbins’ grandparents.
