Celebrate Plein Air at the Borrego Art Institute 18th Invitational


In its 18th year, the Borrego Art Institute’s Annual Plein Air Invitational promises another outstanding exhibition of plein air paintings focusing on the unique beauty and environmental significance of the Anza-Borrego Desert and the Borrego Valley. The exhibition will present a rich diversity of plein air paintings by a select group of 14 artists working in oils, watercolor and pastels, all producing work for the show during the week of March 4 – 9. Returning artists include Margaret Larlham, Geoffrey Allen and Natasha Isenhour.

New work will go up daily in the main gallery March 4-8, and the gallery hours will be extended to 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. The awards and reception will be held Sat. March 9, 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. The show will be up through April 14. The Invitational will once again be curated by Kay Levie, Rick J. Delanty from San Clemente, California will return as the 2024 Juror of Awards.
