LOGAN, Utah — The USU Ceramics Guild will host its Annual Holiday Sale with handcrafted treasures created by talented graduate and undergraduate ceramics students. The sale will take place from 4-9 p.m. Dec. 5 and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 6-7 in the Ceramics Studio (FAV 121).
Community members can expect beautiful ceramics, good food and great company. Artwork will include everything from functional pottery like mugs and bowls to stunning decorative pieces. There’s something for every art lover and gift giver.
Proceeds from the event will support student opportunities such as conferences, workshops and studio resources.
“The sale is helpful for students by giving them a small financial boost, but it’s also a confidence booster,” said guild member Aislinn Baker. “It is always exciting to see someone pick up one of your projects and to show their support for your work.”
The Ceramics Program at USU is well-known for its diverse kiln technology and dedicated workspace. The ceramics emphasis area offers courses for advanced undergraduates and graduate students who are assigned individual studio spaces and provided with access to a variety of studio equipment.
“I transferred to USU because I knew there would be more resources to help me in my pursuit of the ceramic arts, and I can say that the USU Ceramics Program has exceeded my expectations,” Baker said.
To support ceramics students and purchase one-of-a-kind artwork, attend the Annual Holiday Sale. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, visit the online calendar listing.
