Celebrity Cindy Crawford Praises ‘The Crown’ Cameo, Recalls Meeting Diana

Cindy Crawford commemorated her brief appearance in Netflix’s The Crown by recalling her touching visit with the late Princess Diana at Kensington Palace.

On December 20, the recognized model posted a short clip from the sixth season of the historical drama centered on the British royal family on her Instagram Stories.

In the shared scene, young Prince William, played by Ed McVey, was shown discussing model posters in his room with Prince Philip, played by Jonathan Pryce.

Cindy captioned the video, “A little cameo on @thecrownnetflix I still vividly remember visiting Kensington Palace to meet Diana and a teenage William (who had just discovered the “Super Models”).”

In a subsequent Instagram story, the 57-year-old TV personality re-shared a touching message about her meeting with the late Princess.

“Remembering this inspiring woman today. This photo was taken at Kensington Palace,” she wrote.

Cindy revealed that Diana contacted her team on her own and invited the then-model to tea because “Prince William was just starting to notice models and she thought it would be a cute surprise for him and Prince Harry.”

She continued, “I was nervous and didn’t know what to wear, but remember as soon as she came into the room and we started talking, it was like talking to a girlfriend.”

Cindy wrote that Diana exemplified what a modern-day princess should be like.
