Celine Dion Will Document Experiences with Stiff Person Syndrome in a New Film

The new documentary will follow Celion Dion’s terrible battle with Stiff Person Syndrome.

The film, titled I Am: Celine Dion, will be available for streaming on Prime Video at an unspecified date.

In December 2022, the My Heart Will Go On singer formally announced the suspension of her international tour after being diagnosed with the rare neurological illness.

According to Variety, Dion stated: “This last couple of years has been such a challenge for me, the journey from discovering my condition to learning how to live with and manage it, but not to let it define me.”

The singer also expressed hope for a return to her musical career, stating that she is publicising her challenges to “help others who share this diagnosis.”

Jennifer Salke, the head of Amazon MGM Studios, stated that the documentary is a “raw, intimate portrayal of a pivotal time in her personal life and career, pulling back the curtain on her journey as she overcomes an unthinkable diagnosis.”

Irene Taylor, who directed Hear and Now and Trees and Other Entanglements, is directing I Am: Celine Dion.
