Celine Dion’s Sister Provides a Rare Update on the Singer’s Health

Celine Dion is struggling with stiff person syndrome and her sister, Claudette, has given another sad update on her health.

The 55-year-old diva has been hiding out in her $1.2 million Las Vegas estate with her three kids, René-Charles, Eddy, and Nelson, while she fights a rare neurological condition that is making her life very hard.

Celine’s sister, Linda has moved in to help care for her. She says that the singer of “All By Myself” is having trouble finding medicines that work for her, but she is still trying to get better.

Claudette told Le Journal de Montreal, “When I call her, and she’s busy, I speak to my sister Linda who lives with her and tells me that she’s working hard. She’s listening to the top researchers in the field of this rare disease as much as possible. I honestly think that she mostly needs to rest. She always goes above and beyond; she always tries to be the best and top of her game. At one point, your heart and your body are trying to tell you something. It’s important to listen to it.”

Claudette went on to say that Celine is working very hard to stay in shape so that she can act again in the future.

She said this about her recovery: “We trust her. It’s innate to her; she’s disciplined in every area of her life… We can’t find any medicine that works, but having hope is important.”

Celine is the youngest of 14 siblings, which include twins Paul and Pauline, Denise, Clément, Claudette, Liette, Michel, Louise, Jacques, Daniel, Ghislaine, and Linda.

Muscle stiffness in the body and arms is a sign of stiff person syndrome. This is often caused by noise, touch, and mental stress. Celine’s disease is marked by muscle spasms, and a lack of balance could cause her to fall often.
