Celine Fashion House Enters the Cosmetics Market

Celine, owned by LVMH, is expanding into color cosmetics—for the first time in its 80-year-history as a luxury fashion brand.

Celine Beaute will debut this fall with a single lipstick—a bold red in the shade called ‘Rouge Triomphe’. The satin finish formula is infused with a rose accord and rice powder.

The luxe black and gold package features a minimalist art deco-inspired faceted gold case. It is embossed with Celine’s couture monogram.

Hedi Slimane, artistic director of Celine, revealed the news at the Winter 2024 show, and debuted a short film that he directed.

The models in the film are wearing  “La Peau Nue” Rose Naturel Lipstick, one of the fifteen shades in the “Le Rouge Celine” lip category that will launch in January 2025.

We can also expect to see additional color cosmetics, including lip balm, eyeliner, mascara, pencils, and nail polish.

The brand is building on its fragrance collection that was released in 2019.
