On Sunday, a woman accused of leaving her children alone in a car was arrested.According to West Melbourne police, during a business patrol in a parking lot near Penny Annie’s Bar on Minton Road, an officer noticed two children alone in a car.Police said an 8-month-old and a 2-year-old were found unattended in an SUV that was still running and had unlocked doors. The mother, 33-year-old Jamie Gunn, was visiting a friend at the bar and had left the children unattended for at least 20 minutes, according to police. Gunn was arrested on charges of child neglect. West Melbourne police said the Department of Children and Families was contacted.
