WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Cape Fear Community College raised $113,500 through a recent fundraiser to benefit its Automotive System Technology, Automotive Customizing Technology, and Collision Repair and Refinishing programs, the college announced Tuesday.
The funds will provide tools, equipment, and scholarships to students pursuing careers in the automotive industry, helping to address the growing demand for skilled professionals in these fields.
The fundraiser was held November 14.
“We are grateful for the generosity of our community,” CFCC President Jim Morton said. “This incredible support demonstrates our region’s value in developing a skilled workforce and the importance of helping students achieve their career goals. These funds will impact the lives of our students and the industries they serve.”
CFCC’s automotive programs provide hands-on training in advanced vehicle systems, customization, and collision repair, equipping students to meet the needs of local and regional employers. Graduates help fill high-demand roles in the automotive industry.
