Chamber picks new tourism, government affairs director

The Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce has named Anthony Angelini as its new director of tourism and government affairs.

Angelini has served in various capacities within the political and public affairs sphere.

As director of the Simi Valley Chamber Tourism Alliance, Angelini will be responsible for promoting tourism in Simi Valley.

His duties include building the “Visit Simi Valley” brand, developing relationships with local hotels and attractions, and overseeing the district’s marketing programs.

In his government affairs capacity, he will advocate the Chamber’s public policy positions to various governmental units, inform members of current issues, and coordinate legislative advocacy forums and trips.

Angelini is a graduate of UCLA and an MPA candidate at Cornell University.

According to his resume, he has 10 years of experience in business and public affairs and was appointed unanimously by the Board of Supervisors to the Ventura County Cultural Heritage Board in 2023.

He’s a former aide to State Sen. Scott Wilk and a former senior field representative and district office manager to Assemblymember Suzette Valladares.

He’s on the board of directors for Simi Valley Youth Employment Service, Gold Coast Performing Arts Association and Many Mansions Advisory Board. He was the inaugural chair for the City of Thousand Oaks Arts and Culture Roundtable.
