Cheboygan school board honors students of the month, sports teams

CHEBOYGAN — The Cheboygan Area Schools Board of Education honored the Students of the Month for October as well as the varsity volleyball team and Junior Chiefs during their Nov. 27 meeting.

Freshman Noelle Grandee was nominated for Student of the Month by Haley Dawley.

In her nomination letter, Dawley said Grandee’s work in her Spanish II class led to her nomination.

“It is difficult for many students because we now use the foundational pieces from Spanish I to build more complex sentences and build to communicate with greater fluency. Noelle is thriving with the new challenge,” Dawley wrote. “She integrates past knowledge and new concepts as they are added. She makes it look easy.”
