RAPID CITY, S.D. – Brant Beckman put out the call on Facebook for any pictures of tonight’s moon. The community did not disappoint! 

Tonight’s Beaver Moon, is the last full moon before the winter solstice. The Beaver Moon is named after the beavers, who are busy gathering their food and preparing for winter. By this time of year, beavers have typically finished building their lodges and are storing up food for the cold months ahead.
