ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WXIX) – Five people were taken to the hospital after chemicals were accidentally mixed in the pool at the Mercy Health Anderson Healthplex on Thursday.

Three children and two adults were said to have respiratory irritation and some trouble breathing. Seven more people were treated at the scene.

The Anderson Township Fire Department and Cincinnati Hazmat spent two hours ventilating the area before allowing people to return inside.
