Cher Refused Son Temporary Conservatorship in Court

Cher is resolute in proving that her son Elijah Blue Allman requires immediate custody, referring to it as a ‘life and death emergency.’

Cher’s attempt to control her son’s estate, on the other hand, has been temporarily refused.

The 77-year-old singer and actress filed a conservatorship action for her son last month owing to his substance abuse problem.

On Friday, Allman and his estranged wife Marieangela King appeared in court in Los Angeles for a conservatorship hearing called on by his mother, who was not present.

Cher’s lawyers, on the other hand, maintained that the “ability to be able to receive the money on behalf of Mr Allman” was granted on that day “to simply be sure to safeguard it and be used for his benefit,” calling it a “a life and death decision.”

The judge, however, refused the ex parte application, claiming that Allman and his legal team did not have enough time to study all documents because they were filed on Thursday.

During the hearing, Allman also sought that the court appoint new counsel since his previously assigned court-appointed lawyer had a “conflict of interest.”

The attorneys he recommended were approved, and the temporary hearing was continued until January 29.
