ARGUMENT SPEAKING OUT. BUT FIRST, WE DO HAVE BREAKING NEWS OUT OF GREENVILLE COUNTY. A CHILD IS SAFE TONIGHT AFTER THE CAR, THE CHILD WAS IN WAS STOLEN. RAY ARENA JOINS US LIVE FROM A MCDONALD’S WHERE THIS ALL BEGAN. RAY. CHERYL, THIS ALL HAPPENED IN A PARKING LOT OF THIS MCDONALD’S ON AUGUSTA ROAD. NOW, DEPUTIES SAY THAT THE CAR THE CHILD WAS IN WAS LEFT RUNNING, BUT AGAIN, LIKE YOU JUST MENTIONED, THAT CHILD IS SAFE TONIGHT. NOW, GREENVILLE COUNTY DEPUTIES WERE INITIALLY CALLED HERE JUST BEFORE 640 THIS EVENING TO INVESTIGATE. INVESTIGATORS SAY THEY LATER RECEIVED A CALL FROM A HOME ON LAKESIDE ROAD AFTER A PERSON FOUND A CHILD IN A CAR SEAT ON THEIR FRONT PORCH. THAT HOME IS ABOUT A 15 MINUTE DRIVE AND SEVERAL MILES AWAY FROM THE FAST FOOD RESTAURANT. DEPUTIES CONFIRMED A CHILD THAT WAS TAKEN FROM THE MCDONALD’S WAS THE ONE THAT WAS FOUND ON THE HOME’S PORCH. THEY SAY THE CHILD IS SAFE AND WAS NOT HURT. THEY ADD THE CAR HAS NOT YET BEEN RECOVERED AND DEPUTIES SAY THEIR INVESTIGATION IS STILL EARLY IN THE PROCESS AND ONGOING. AND DEPUTIES SAY THEY WILL BE RELEASING SOME MORE INFORMATION SOON. The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a car was stolen with a child inside. The child was later found safe.Deputies said they were called to the McDonald’s on Augusta Road after a vehicle was stolen. They said the vehicle was left unattended and running, and had a child inside. According to deputies, they were later called to a home on Lakeside Road after a person found the child in a child seat on their front porch. The child was safe and unharmed.The investigation is in its early stages. Deputies have not released any information about a possible suspect.
