Michigan-based Kilwins is set to open a new shop right here in Dallas.
By early next year, North Dallas will welcome a Kilwins location at The Sound at Cypress Waters at 3801 Olympus Blvd. The store will be the third to grace DFW but the first in Dallas proper.
The popular chocolate brand already boasts over 175 locations nationwide, including nine in Texas. Once the new shop opens, residents of North Dallas will have easy access to the brand’s heritage chocolate, original recipe ice cream, handcrafted fudge, and more.
“Today we still follow original recipes, using quality ingredients like fresh cream from American dairy farms and the highest quality roasted and pressed cocoa beans from around the world,” reads a description on Kilwins’ website.
Don and Katy Kilwins created the brand in 1947. The company controls all stages of the chocolate production process and even uses special storage facilities and trucks to ensure ideal temperature and humidity.
In addition to the forthcoming Dallas location, Kilwins plans to open new locations in Midland, Waco, and East Village in Austin.
“Texas is a natural fit for Kilwins… The climate supports year-round ice cream sales, the population is booming, and there’s an ideal balance of family-centric communities and Midwestern transplants who already know and love the Kilwins brand, said Kilwins president and CEO Brian Britton in a statement, per CultureMap Dallas.
