Chris Pratt delighted fans on Tuesday with an Instagram post, saying that he’s finally back in the booth to voice Garfield once the actors’ strike ends.
He made his return to the studio casual by wearing a baseball cap with a scruffy mustache, as shown in a shared sneak peek photo of him with a mischievous grin.
Behind him, there were written pages from the film, as well as a screen with the orange sleep-admiring cat, whose face mirrored Pratt’s.
“Strike over,” he captioned this humorous scene. I’m back in action. “LET’S GO!”
The first trailer for the highly anticipated film was published one week ago. The premise for The Garfield Movie states that the “world-famous, Monday-hating, lasagna-loving indoor cat is about to have a wild outdoor adventure.”
The plot revolves around Garfield’s reunion with his father Vic, who has been missing for a long time and is set to be freed in 2024. The two create a team with Odie the dog and leap from a pampered lifestyle to a high-risk theft.
Other voicing actors joining the Guardians of the Galaxy cast include Samuel L. Jackson, Cecily Strong, Hannah Waddingham, and Nicholas Hoult.
