Amid Jada Pinkett Smith’s recent memoir release, there were many interviews while promoting it where she spoke plenty about Chris Rock and the slap he got from Will Smith. In her claims, she leaves the comedian in a questionable place as she alludes to him having some type of obsession with her. When the married couple was going through personal issues and divorce rumors emerged, Jada claims Rock approachedher to ask her out. If this is true, Chris Rock’s beef with Will smith has a whole new connotation to it and it gives the infamous slap a more nuanced meaning. A recent Daily Mail report claims that Chris Rock feels frustrated Jada Pinkett Smith keeps mentioning his name.
Chris Rock seems unbothered by Jada’s disses
But on Thursday evening, there was the first public sighting of Chris Rock since the memoir came out and Jada spoke about him in the press. It was a Rolling Stones album released party for ‘Hackney Diamonds’ that took place just days after Jada’s interviews. A person who attended the event on Thursday night says Chris Rock was spotted hanging out with fellow comedia Trevor Noah. Apparently, Rock seemed completely unbothered at an event that was also attended by the likes of Jimmy Fallon, Mary-Kate Olsen, Elvis Costello, Rachel Weisz, Keegan-Michael Key among others. It was an all-VIP event in New York City.
Rock seemed in good spirits at a party where Lady Gaga sang alongside the Rolling Stones on stage to sing ‘Sweet Sounds of Heaven’. This is the Stones’ first album with bradn new material in 18 years. The current lineup consists of Mick Jagger, 80, Keith Richards, 79, and Ronnie Wood, 76. The party also had Questlove as the event’s DJ before the legendary band took the stage. Although Chris Rock’s reps were contacted for a comment on the sighting, there was no response.
