Chris Shiflett of the Foo Fighters Has Announced His New Solo Album, ‘Lost at Sea’

Chris Shiflett, the guitarist for Foo Fighters, will put out his new solo record, “Lost at Sea,” on October 20 through Blue Élan Records.

There will be 10 songs on the record, including the new single “Damage Control.” Shiflett has called the single “Ska-mericana” and released a music video for it. The video was shot during his recent tour of the U.K.

Most of the album was made in Nashville with producer Jaren Johnston. Other guitarists Charlie Worsham, Tom Bukovac, and Nathan Keeterle also played on it. In addition to “Damage Control,” the record will include Shiflett’s previous singles “Dead and Gone” and “Black Top White Lines.”

Shiflett’s song “Born & Raised,” which was made by Vance Powell, came out last year. On the track, famous artists like bassist Jack Lawrence of the Raconteurs, drummer Julian Doro of Eagles of Death Metal, keyboardist Mike Webb, and steel guitarist Luke Schneider all played.
