Christian Siriano and Olay have partnered on a holiday collection you will fa-la-la la-la-al for.
On November 1, the designer and the skincare brand’s three Christian Siriano x Olay “drops” launch November 14 (but the waitlist is officially open).
Inspired by Olay’s latest skincare innovation, Super Serum, Siriano has created a holiday fashion collection consisting of a dopp kit ($80), robe ($70) and slides ($60) to emphasize self-care around the holidays.
Siriano tells PEOPLE the collaboration is a full-circle moment. “Olay is classic, a staple. I think everybody has something [from the brand]. My mom, my sister. I’ve probably used Olay products my entire life. The last five years it’s been the Micro-Sculpting Cream [for me]. So getting to collaborate with them is really fun.”
Siriano adds that one bonus of the collab has been the introduction to a game-changing new product. “My boyfriend is a big skincare lover, and when I first started working with Olay, we began using their Super Serum, and it’s actually insane. I definitely see a change,” he says.
While Siriano has gotten to do “lots of things in the beauty world,” the designer says this partnership is “the first time I’ve ever made fashion products to go with a beauty product, which is different and exciting for me as a designer.”
He says it was easy to be inspired by the Super Serum’s design. “It was nice to have something like this as a jumping off point because it’s a beautiful piece in itself. It has sculptural elements, it has a beautiful shape and silhouette. So then I could be like, ‘Okay, well, what is it that people actually want to use?’ If you don’t have a really beautiful cosmetic or toiletry bag, this is a great piece for you. If you don’t have a beautiful plush robe, here you go.”
Siriano also got a cool new title to go with the partnership: Chief Drop Officer. “I like to be the boss,” he jokes. “But no, I think the idea was: it’s the holidays, let’s drop a really cool collection that could be a cool gift for someone else or to gift yourself. We’re all thinking about everybody else during the holiday season, but hopefully we’re all taking time for ourselves a little bit, because the holiday season is really the time that everybody’s supposed to take a break.”
Despite his wild schedule, Siriano makes it a point to prioritize self-care, with a little help from his friends.
“I definitely have made a more of a focus on self-care because I think just in general for everyone’s mental health it’s good to focus on themselves a little bit. With all my boys, it’s kind of like a community thing, too. We do our spa days and our masks and it’s fun.”
Siriano says that thanks to his boyfriend, he’s also gotten into the habit of doing a skincare routine at night. “He inspired me because I was like, ‘It must be nice that you can do your skincare every night.’ And he is like, ‘Well, you can too.’ And I’m like, ‘Okay, I guess you’re right!’ So you just have to make the time for yourself, and I hope everybody’s doing that.”
The designer, who spent many years working in a salon, says that even then skincare and self-care “wasn’t as important to me as I think it it now.”
“Feeling good in your own skin is just a really important, therapeutic thing. I think that’s kind of why I love the Olay team — they’re about supporting every gender, age and race. So I think that hopefully people will start to realize that it really is for you.”
In addition to inclusive messaging. Siriano lauds the wallet-friendly price point, which was key to carry over to this collaboration as well. “I think accessibility is really important, especially in the beauty world. For me, I never used a serum [before this]. If you want something that you’re not sure if you are going to love it, then it is a little scary when it’s expensive.”

He continues, “Usually when I do collaborations, I like them to be accessible. I have lots of different types of fans from all walks of life. My mom would never spend over $100 on something. My sister has two kids and she wouldn’t either. So I make collaborations and collections for them. The idea [for this] was that if you’re going to buy the Super Serum — which you should, because it’s amazing — then this way you get something extra.”
Siriano says he “loves” the products he and Olay settled on for this holiday drop. “I feel like all of the products are things that hopefully people will have in their repertoire forever.”
The designer admits the dopp kit is his favorite piece of the three “because it’s also a purse. You could carry it if you want to carry it because it is just so fabulous.”
But for those who prefer to have a cozy night in, the robe and slippers will help you luxuriate in style. “We wanted to do a really cool, graphic robe that feels kind of bold and powerful, but is also very, very comfortable. That was important. And then for the slides, we felt everybody who’s at home wears some type of shoe to feel comfortable, so we wanted something that was really plush and super smooth.”
Siriano says the holiday season is coming “too quickly” but he’s looking forward to a “chill moment” before Fashion Week in February.
And there’s one thing he’s going to sit out this time around.
“I cooked last year, so I think I’m going to let my mom cook this year,” he says.
