Christine Baumgartner, Kevin Costner’s Estranged Wife, Gets an ‘Expensive’ Apartment

Even though she lost the child support case from Kevin Costner, Christine Baumgartner, his ex-wife, moved into a pretty nice place.

The Daily Mail says that Baumgartner moved into a house in Montecito, California, that costs $40,000 a month to rent.

The house has a pool, a jacuzzi, well-kept grounds, and access to hiking trails through the woods. It’s on a one-acre plot of land.

During her testimony in court, Baumgartner said that she was upset that the rental was not as nice as Costner’s lakefront home, which she and their children had become used to.

Even though there was a pool house and guest rooms, the 49-year-old former model was upset that guests “would have to come in [to the main house] to use the shower.”

She also said that her 13-year-old daughter Grace’s bathroom would be shared “with the house,” and that her 16-year-old son Caden and 14-year-old son Hayes would have to share a bathroom.

When the 68-year-old actor from Yellowstone and Baumgartner first started the divorce process, she asked for more than $175,000 in child support, which was $46,000 more than what he had been giving her.

But after a new review by a forensic accountant, the former handbag designer’s lawyer, John Rydell, said that he and his client were lowering the amount they wanted to $161,592 per month.

Even though Baumgartner cut the amount, it was still a long way from Costner’s monthly offer of $60,000. She didn’t think that was enough to keep things the same.
