Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr., and Emily Blunt Attended the 96th Oscar Nominees Luncheon

Oppenheimer actors Emily Blunt, Cillian Murphy, and Robert Downey Jr. all attended the 96th Academy Awards Nominees Luncheon in Beverly Hills on Monday.

The celebrities attended the sumptuous dinner with filmmaker Christopher Nolan, 53, and his producer wife Emma Thomas, 52, whose hit historical epic has received 13 nominations for the upcoming March 10 ceremony.

Cillian, 47, a Best Actor nominee who plays J. Robert Oppenheimer, looked dapper in a chestnut suit and white shirt.

Emily, 40, a Best Supporting Actress nominee, looked stunning in a violet satin two-piece, her blonde hair styled in delicate waves. Emily portrays Kitty Oppenheimer.

Robert, who plays Rear Admiral Lewis Strauss, looked sharp in a pinstripe suit, tan shirt, and sneakers.

This occurred after Cillian discussed his views about playing J. Robert Oppenheimer in his Oscar-nominated picture.

The Irish actor discussed the research that went into his role as the theoretical physicist known as the “father of the atomic bomb” at a Wednesday screening of Christopher Nolan’s biopic at the BFI IMAX Waterloo.

When asked what lesson he had gained the most from working on the film, Cillian deliberately replied, “The main thing I learnt or relied on was that he was a human being; that was the main thing I wanted to access – his humanity.”
