The Cincinnati Black Music Walk of Fame was packed with a crowd of music lovers and community members for a special holiday release party organized by Commission President Alicia Reece for the international unveiling of a new tribute song to the Cincinnati Black Music Walk of Fame produced by Bootsy Collins.The free celebration featured sounds from DJ ON THA 1, funky stylistic dancing choreographed for the new song, interactive attractions, and an extraordinary light show for the whole family to enjoy.The new tribute song is available on all streaming platforms and features a wide range of artists like Cincinnati Black Music Walk of Fame inductees and influencers Penny Ford, Terry Troutman, Reggie Calloway, Vincent Calloway, Tnava Avant, alongside Bootsy Collins, who performs bass, guitar, drums, and vocals on the track.The Cincinnati Black Music Walk of Fame was founded by Hamilton County Commission President Alicia Reece and is an international state-of-the-art outdoor interactive permanent tourism attraction on the Ohio Riverbanks, celebrating the legacy and untold stories of music artists, songwriters, producers, and musicians from Southwest Ohio who have impacted music from across the world.The Cincinnati Black Music Walk of Fame is Ohio’s newest tourism attraction that features augmented reality activations, an experiential drum machine honoring 50 years of Hip-Hop, a musical waterfall, nightly jam sessions, as well as interactive kiosks that honor the contributions of Black musical artists.The historic grand opening of the Cincinnati Black Music Walk of Fame was held on Saturday, July 22, 2023, celebrating inductees Louise Shropshire, James Brown, The Deele featuring LA Reid and Babyface, and Philippe Wynne with over 22,000 visitors since the grand opening.Tune into WLWT at 2 p.m. and BET at 10 p.m. to see coverage of the event.
