Beginning Thursday, August 22, the world famous entertainment company Cirque du Soleil is making its way back to the Expo Center.
The family-friendly affair is not new to Portland. This marks the second time Kooza has been in town. The ode to traditional circus has performed more than 5,000 shows in 71 cities since its 2007 debut in Montreal.
The show features clowns, stunts on double stilts, and even a mysterious “wheel of death.”
“The acrobatic numbers you see on Kooza defy gravity. They’re surprising, they’re big numbers,” said publicist Julie Desmarais.
If you are interested in checking out the spectacle, you can purchase tickets online or at their box office.
Cirque du Soleil’s Kooza is happening from August 22 to October 6 2024, Expo Center, 2060 Marine Dr W, Portland, OR 97217, https://www.cirquedusoleil.com/usa/portland-oregon/shows
