A sure sign the Cleveland Cavaliers are moving up the respect ladder: a nationally televised game on an over-the-air network.
The NBA announced Thursday that the Cavs-Orlando Magic game slated for 6 p.m., March 16 at Rocket Arena on NBA TV, has been moved to the 1 p.m. national window on ABC (WEWS Channel 5 locally).
While the Cavs have been featured on ESPN on several occasions this season, in terms of reach, broadcast television still holds an advantage.
It will give the chance to showcase what they’re about on a bigger national stage leading off a double-header followed by games between the Phoenix Suns at Los Angeles Lakers at 3:30 p.m.
