Cleveland State Women’s Tennis Takes Home Two Doubles Titles At Rocket Invite


CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women’s tennis team closed out play at the Rocket Invite Saturday, capturing a pair of doubles titles.

The Vikings went 5-1 in doubles on Saturday, with the duos of Sima Heren/Bethany Yauch and Tereze Vevere/Ella Franz both going 2-0 with wins against Dayton and Toledo. 

Following their strong performances, both Heren/Yauch and Vevere/Franz were named Doubles Champions at their respective spots.

Cleveland State also had a strong singles performance on the day, going 5-1. Yauch, Heren, Vevere, Filippa Frogner, and Mikaela Konstantinova all picked up wins against Dayton on Saturday.

Heren and Vevere led the Vikings on the weekend, going 2-1 in singles play.

The Vikings will have one more fall tournament to close out 2023, taking part in the Bronco Super Challenge November 10-12.
