Colorado Censures Ex-Trump Attorney Jenna Ellis for False Election Claims

According to Colorado Newsline, the Colorado lawyer who assisted Donald Trump in trying to overturn the 2020 presidential election has been publicly reprimanded for wrongdoing. This is because he admitted to making “misrepresentations” about how the election was stolen.

Jenna Ellis, who served as Trump’s top legal adviser during the relevant time period, was investigated in her home state after a nonprofit claimed she had breached various professional standards. A watchdog discovered at least ten instances of falsification, including assertions made during many television appearances. Ellis mentioned the contested election results in Nevada, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Georgia, for example, during an interview on Sean Spicer’s Newsmax program. “With all these states combined, we know that President Trump’s election was stolen, and we can prove it,” she stated. Ellis apparently acknowledged in accord with legal authorities that she had violated her duty of candor by undermining the public’s faith in the presidential election.
