Community Center receives humanitarian grant from church


Unity Family Community Center (UFCC) in Williston has received a humanitarian grant from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The grant will provide a new 15-passenger van and food and commodities to UFCC to benefit families and households in Williston and Levy County.

The check was presented to UFCC CEO Willie Battles by stake president Darrell Brantley of the Ocala Florida Stake and bishop Geoffrey DeShazer of the Williston Ward. Also in attendance was UFCC executive director Joyce Wilson, UFCC board members and volunteers from both churches.
