CALUMET, Mich. (WLUC) – A community-based arts organization opened its new doors.
Copper Country Associated Artists moved from the 200 block of Fifth Street in downtown Calumet to 177 Fifth St.
The group formed in the early 1960s. There are about 45 members in the CCAA today. CCAA President John Dodge says the group serves two main purposes.
“Provide an opportunity in the Copper Country for continuing development of skills and knowledge in the visual arts,” Dodge said. “Provide facilities and opportunity for creation, presentation and distribution of visual art, goods and services.”
Dodge thanks all of the CCAA members for working hard to open this new gallery.
