Coronation Street Recruits Peaky Blinder for an Intense Twist in Harvey Gaskell’s Jailbreak

Ian Peck will make a quick but significant appearance in a handful of forthcoming Coronation Street episodes, as John Perry.

According to The Sun, characters Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor) and Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) are hatching a cunning scheme to frame John as the fall man in order to gain Harvey’s freedom.

Ian Peck, best known for his role as Curly in Peaky Blinders, is now filming these dramatic scenes for the ITV soap and is poised to bring his diverse ability to the streets of Weatherfield.

With an outstanding acting resume that includes appearances as a Death Eater in Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, His Dark Materials, and Lady Chatterley’s Lover, Ian Peck’s arrival to the ensemble is raising interest among fans.

Meanwhile, Will Mellor, who was known for his part in Two Pints of Lager, returned to the show earlier this year after playing the threatening drug lord Harvey Gaskell from 2021 to 2022.

Damon Hay’s return, as revealed by producer Iain Macleod, is expected to be motivated by a desire for vengeance against Adam Barlow.

Macleod also hinted at potential obstacles, indicating that the mobster has spent months harbouring love for Sarah, which could cause problems for Adam.

Will Mellor expressed his delight about joining the series, saying, “I’m honored to be asked to come into Coronation Street; it’s such an iconic show and has been a huge part of my family life.”

Ian Peck celebrates a fantastic 32-year career in acting by expressing his satisfaction at fulfilling his mother’s dream of his joining Coronation Street.
