Country music duo Sugarland will return to the stage at the upcoming CMT Music Awards.
The country music awards show will take place Sunday, April 7, in Austin, Texas.
According to Taste of Country, Sugarland will perform a new collaboration with Little Big Town on stage.
Sugarland’s duo — Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush — hasn’t released an album since 2017 when “Bigger” dropped. And, per the report, it has been 13 years since they have performed at the CMT Music Awards.
Meanwhile, Little Big Town – Karen Fairchild, Kimberley Schlapman, Philip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook — will be logging their 13th CMT Music Awards performance.
Taste of Country said details around the collaboration are being kept quiet, but Little Big Town and Sugarland joined forces with Jake Owen for a performance of the song “Life In a Northern Town” 15 years ago.
Little Big Town has the CMT Music Awards record for most nominations for Group Video of the Year with 25 nods. The band also hosted the show in 2018 and 2019.
The show will be hosted by Kelsea Ballerini.
