Beginning Saturday, Nov. 25, country music is coming to Old Richmond Mall.

The event is being facilitated by local resident Mitch Tate who has a lot of history behind putting events like this together.

An avid fan of bluegrass and country music, Tate has worked to promote many different artists that came up from the area of Central Kentucky. He has several years experience doing this and has saved many a news clipping whether it’s from the Richmond Register or other papers in the area.

At his home, just outside Richmond city limits, Tate has several boxes full of bluegrass and country music memorabilia not many people know of or have seen from his years as a promoter. Over the years, his collection grew as he continued to promote. Tate promoted plenty of local talent to events all across the Bluegrass.

According to the flyer that Tate has put out, musical acts will among others include Faded Blue.

This event is free to the public and Tate’s goal is to get people to Richmond Mall so they can enjoy the music and visit some of the local stores inside of the mall.

Music starts at three o’clock this coming Saturday.
