County commissioner approves new tennis court along Walker Road

The Gallatin County Commission approved a conditional use permit for a more than 8,000-square-foot tennis facility that will be used for personal and some commercial recreation on a residential property along Walker Road, north of Bozeman on Tuesday.

Some neighbors voiced concerns over the size and use of the facility, believing it to be out of line with the Middle Cottonwood Zoning District regulations and the surrounding rural area.

County commissioners did not agree with those concerns but added several conditions, including limiting the extent of allowed commercial operations.
